Fusion

This evening length show presented by Ishmael Konney and Jennifer Meckley at Ball State University in 2023 investigates the fusion of traditional and contemporary West African dance forms with house and hip-hop dance technique to highlight the complex rhythmic structures and aesthetic similarities. With live drumming and music, this high energy show brings joy and a deep kinesthetic experience to audiences.
